The mother of these girl died in december 3 of 1954 and she remember his mother in a good way remembering the good things of his mother because the story is very sad. These 14 years old girl named  Lily Melissa Owens she think that he kill his mom because she recive these memories of the passed that he take a gun and shoot to his mother and kill him. T ray his father is very abusive with him and a bad person, Lily have a housekeeper named Rosaleen he was a very good person that cares and defend these little girl. Lily find these guy named Zach that is a good boy but he is black so there is a problem Zach have many problems with the police he is arrested many times but he is in love of Lily but they can not be together because they have different races. In the usa they where 2 hospitals one for the black people and other to the white ones and lily always go to visit a friend in the blacks hospital and white people thont understand why Lily like black people.

In these chapters lily go to the boatringht house to find more things about his mother she meet some people that know about his mother Agust, June and May a very good persons that tell lily many things about his mom. Lily is making more experiments about bees but january is in 130 degrees so is not a good time of bees but the experiment goes pretty good, Zach ask Lily if she what to go to fawn to walk so she respond yes Lily do not remember that was friday and the fridays where many people in town and these friday some black teenagers stand in a truck to protest and some white men attack a men in the truck and throw a bottle in his head so he was bleeding Zach what to make something so he go to stand in the truck and Lily got very scared and she just go home. When Lily come to these house again they thont find may,June Agust and Lily thont find her it was terrible Lily find may in the river dead the reason of dead was not confirm yet but the police men say that it was suicide, all where very sad because may was a very good person that care about all but thinking in a positive way she was with all his family but they will mis may. Zach when to jail and Lily and Zack start talking about the school law but Lily say to him that he have to change and stop making bad things that can put him in jail again

In these last chapters Agust started tell Lily more details things about her mother and Lily got surprised the story that her mother when she was 19 hers old her mother died and that is Lilys grandma and Lilys mother call agust to go take care of him and be a house keeper. So then Lily start telling his store how was the live with T ray so he say that it was terrible because his dad or Tray was very aggressive and he was an angry man and he say that his mom and T ray where boyfriends and he was a soldier that treated she in a very good way and then she got pringment so Lily got terrible sad because he say that she had the fault that his mom married him and agust just let Lily crie a little and then calm him. Now they let Rossalen to vote in the blacks high school and she gives the notice to everybody he was very happy about these then Zack tell Lily that he is going to the whites high school but mane Lily have to come back with T ray a bad desition. When Lily come to the T rays home T rays come crazy because Lily like like his mother to much that t ray take out a knife and start sying why you go he was crazy then Lily say that he was her daughter to stop him and his father start crying because he say that Lily looks like too much to his mother and he got very crazy with she.

These book is about a girl that live in a big farm that have many things in the south of the united states and these girl love to see bees in the morning and she start investigate the life of these bees in these times there where many racism in the usa. These girl have a complicated live because his family was very complicated and make his life very difficult and too in his school i can see how much racism there is and not respect to anyone. The dad of these girl was very corrupt and a bad person because he control his girl in a bad way because he thont what to these girl be with black people and these girl like black people and thont discriminated them but his dad thont respect that and do not agree of what he think. These girl start to make experiments of bees in the science class and she always put a glass with honey in the window and wait to see how much honey the bees eat in a day.
